We have a fantastic, bespoke opportunity for a recent graduate vet to
join our team in Weston-super-Mare!
Our Practice is mature and established, and enjoys a highly varied caseload encompassing all areas of small animal veterinary work. Our surgery was purpose built in 2008 and is and equipped to enable you
to do your job to the best of your ability; combined with our veterinary team’s expertise we are able to undertake both medical and surgical cases in-house to an advanced level. For the successful applicant, this position will provide both breadth and depth of case exposure, working in a supportive environment.
Our veterinary team are highly experienced, enjoy working to high stan-dards, and are all keen to engage with coaching a new graduate. We have also invested heavily in building and developing a great support team, so you will be surrounded by highly competent qualified nurses, impressive student nurses, and a friendly, professional, team of receptionists.
We deliberately choose not to subscribe to the rigid framework of a prescribed “new grad schemeâ€; our tried and tested flexible approach
to your development means that you will work closely with our Practice Manager and Clinical Director to design a development journey that is individual to you and your needs, with the emphasis on you becoming
a knowledgeable, competent, and confident vet, who enjoys great job satisfaction.
In additional to effective clinical and pastoral support, your benefits package will include payment of your professional fees, CPD, and a great range of discounts and rewards you’d expect from working in a Practice associated with the Pets at Home Vet Group. We also believe a sensible work:life balance is critical to your development and success, which is why as a full time vet you will be working c.35 hours per week in the surgery which will include 1-in-3 weekends and no out of hours.
The successful candidate for this position will be a new or recent graduate with a confident, positive approach to starting their veterinary career. They will recognise the unique value of this opportunity - especially in the current climate, and will be keen to grasp the chance to work with a team who want to dedicate their time and resources to their new colleague’s development.
Team culture is important to us, and we are keen to invest in the right person, not simply fill a vacancy. If you share our passion for a job well done then we would love to hear from you.
This position is available from autumn 2021, and you can send your CV
