Responsibilities

You will work as a Microsoft Test Engineer on our high visibility Azure based 5G mobile network technology with a focus on the overall solution, working to make the product available for public download in the Azure marketplace.  Microsoft is committed to the delivery of high quality solutions and this role is an opportunity for you to influence the quality of the Azure 5G mobile network solution whilst also developing excellent automation skills.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with others to help shape requirements for new features.
• Hands-on testing of cutting-edge 5G mobile network function, advocating for the network operation engineers and end-users, and providing feedback.
• Running exploratory test sessions to help understand the quality of the overall solution, dimension the solution or determine emergent behavior.
• Designing and reviewing testing for new features, using a mix of exploratory and automated approaches.
• Using technologies such as Python automation to extend testing capabilities.
• Taking an active part in improving the engineering process, and actively sharing knowledge with others.
• Making judgements about product quality, against a high quality bar.
• Providing live-site support from within the engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience of test definition and execution.
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly on a wide range new components/areas/technologies and to get the job done.
• Passion for technology, testing and for delivering high quality solutions that delight our customers.
• Collaborative working style with great critical thinking and ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics.
• Some basic experience preferred (or a willingness to learn).

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check:  This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
