BU Description:

The BMC Helix Cloud Operations team is a critical group in the design, architecture, configuration, maintenance and availability of our SaaS product portfolio.  We work closely with our product teams, architecture and customers to provide the highest levels of availability, service and customer success. Being nice is a requirement and you will be working in a high-speed and collaborative team.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

A Network Systems Administrator who will be joining the SaaS team, to help build and maintain BMC’s cloud platform and solutions and closely perform below responsibilities:

• Focused primarily on Level 1-2 operations support of network services
• Work closely with our datacenter partners to ensure our systems are operationally soundWork with your peers on datacenter projects and new initiatives
• Work with F5 Load Balancers, VLAN technologies, Cisco Routers and Switches, Cisco ASA and Palo firewalls
• Work with customers to build out and troubleshoot IPsec site to site vpn tunnels
• Administration of F5 Load Balancers including configuration and troubleshooting
• Utilize network tools to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
• Take part in 24/7 on-call rotations

Required Skills:

• 5+ Years of Network Experience
• Experienced knowledge of TCP/IP
• Good understanding of network designs including firewall and security designs, routing and configuration
• Experience with load balancer configuration, deployment and administration
• Understanding of incident handling and change control process
• Ability to articulate and document changes for someone else to implement
• Good understanding of security and security practices
• Good troubleshooting skill.
• Calm under pressure

Desired (Nice-to-have) Skills:

• BMC Products including Remedy, BPPM (Patrol), Bladelogic, Discovery
• Knowledge of monitoring technologies including agent, agentless, synthetic and real user
• Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Orange, Telefonica
• ITIL Practices & Agile methodologies
• Content Delivery Networks, VMware
• Cisco Certifications
