Network Service Owner – National salary £40,000 - £60,000 and London £50,000 - £70,000

The network service is critical to Aviva, and we require your skills and experience to ensure that we are providing a reliable platform to engage with our customers securely and the ability for Aviva employees to collaborate. We require a strong focus on service performance through the management of quality network services that meet the needs of the business.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with experience of technical operations and service management who is focused on driving technology evolution and maintaining operational excellence.

A bit about the job:

• Active engagement with business partners, project managers and technology vendors to drive and evolve Aviva network services

• Provide operational governance and support the broader supplier managed network service

• Regularly attend supplier service meetings and liaise with Service Management and other business stakeholders

• Build positive relationships throughout Operations and Services and other areas of the business is vital for this role

• Involvement in complex incidents applying technical knowledge to assist with resolution

• Project support, providing technical and service input

• Support risk and business controls for the network service

• Drive continual service improvement (CSI)

• Provide out of hours escalation for network services

Aviva uses “smart-working”, and the person in this role can be based anywhere within the UK commutable to an Aviva office however Bristol is preferred.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Technical experience in any of the following technologies: software defined networks, enterprise hybrid cloud environments (e.g., multi-cloud), LAN, WAN, WIFI, Cloud Exchange, VPN, IPAM, DHCP, DNS, NAC, WAN Optimisation. Relevant industry certifications would be a benefit.

• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud technology.

• Up to date knowledge of industry standards, new technologies and key market trends.

• Experience of working within the ITIL® service framework.

• Proven experience of working in large scale, complex outsourced Enterprise network. environments and/or for managed service providers.

• National salary £40,000 - £60,000 and London £50,000 - £70,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
