The role

To ensure that IAGC benefits from the best network and fleet available: through the planning, development and management of IAG capacity. This role is a very high-profile role, and a genuinely unique opportunity, within IAGC Network and Partnerships.
Duties
• Championing new network planning processes and best practices developed over the course of 2020/2021.
• Develop a comprehensive picture of the requirements for capacity across the business using input from the Sales force and market data.
• Input IAGC’s requirements to the corporate planning and scheduling processes in each IAG group operating company and ensure that IAGC contribution to each business is recognised and decisions are made jointly generating optimal benefit to the group.
• Evaluate the effect of differing aircraft and configuration changes on IAGC’s networks.
• Evaluation of IAG schedule changes and cancellations on IAG Cargo’s revenue potential.
• Ensure future schedules are distributed across the cargo business to maximise selling lead times and that impact from Regions is fully appreciated.
• Evaluate poor performing routes and develop action plans with other stakeholders.
• Input into Business Plan and Financial Plan process.
• Proactive management of our network, positively influencing OpCos and suppliers to provide cargo capacity to the business.
• Leadership of performance groups as required.
• Jointly with commercial teams, identify, evaluate and implement commercial opportunities with new providers and on new routes.
• Ensure provision of financial data and management information relating to the programmes. Evaluation of route performance, commercial trends e.g. density, yield etc. Address issues and shortfalls with the relevant stakeholders.
• Management of cancellations - both planned and ad hoc. Ensuring alignment with revenue and cost budgets.
• Ensure effective internal and external marketing of the programmes.
• Provision of support for business cases, route changes/ evaluations, tenders and negotiations of rates and contract on a seasonal basis.
• Evaluate and manage outsourced capacity & freighter programmes and assist in developing new capacity opportunities, to increase turnover and decrease costs.
• Develop, manage and deliver ad hoc projects.
• Support other areas of Network Management as required.
