What can you expect in this role?

Working in the hotel, you’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience whether they are with us for the day or a longer stay. What is different about our guests though, is that they are Partners, their friends and family.  As co-owners in the business, you’ll see this difference in the way your teammates and you approach your job and carry out your responsibilities. 

You’ll work as part of a small maintenance team handling routine maintenance activities throughout the hotel and golf club, acting as a brand ambassador by being a warm and friendly Partner who provides a consistently outstanding customer experience that is unrivalled in the marketplace. 

Typical tasks include: 

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as faulty window latches, changing light bulbs and decorating

  • Completing preventative maintenance programs such as fire alarm and smoke detector checks

  • Ensuring safety of driveways by coordinating salt sprinkling activities during snowy weather

  • Ensuring the hotel looks clean and maintained at all times

  • Ensuring that any potential hazards are taken care of

Please note there is a requirement to be on-call in this role.

What do you need?

Hospitality is an ever changing environment with a real focus on great customer service and providing an experience for our guests. This is achieved through each Partner being motivated, creative and great teamwork.

  • Proactive

  • A good knowledge of general and preventative maintenance procedures regarding buildings maintenance

  • Sound mechanical and electrical aptitude aimed at repairing tasks

  • City and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 or NVQ equivalent

  • City and Guilds in mechanical discipline or NVQ 6018 Heating and ventilation industrial and commercial installations. 

What else could you bring? 

  • Proven experience of the hospitality industry

  • A good knowledge of tools and equipment required for the role

  • Exceptional at handling maintenance issues in a proactive manner

  • Experience of working with trades and/or Technicians
