Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Motor Process Engineer.  The Motor Process Engineer will contribute to the design of high tech, high volume, state of the art test systems with dynamic technical solutions and deploy them globally to our manufacturing sites within USA, Europe, and Mexico.  The candidate will assure that the design standards are followed, and in some cases will be required to develop new standards.  The candidate must be able and willing to travel when required.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with Motor manufacturing processes
  • Conduct design of experiments to optimize processes
  • Document process parameters
  • Collaborate with other Process Engineers globally
  • Assist with writing statements of work for capital equipment
  • Assist with debug of process equipment
  • Determine and document key process parameters and limits

What we’re looking for

  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, EET, MET or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience required
  • Experience using statistical tools
  • Familiar with Electronic processing
  • Familiar with Electronic materials
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Works well in group settings
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be willing to travel internationally
