Responsibilities

You will use your mobile packet core expertise to help the Azure PMEC team deliver a solution that delights our customers by

• Defining test strategies for complex packet core features which are informed by a deep understanding of both real customer use cases and 3GPP standards.
• Collaborating with the team to help produce technical specifications for new features
• Performing live-site monitoring and ensuring learnings from live customer deployments are fed back into the broader engineering team.
• Triaging and debugging of complex mobile packet core.
• Running exploratory test sessions to help understand the quality of the overall solution, dimension the solution or determine emergent behaviour.
• Providing technical backup to program management and sales accounts teams – helping them to gather detailed technical requirements and producing input for them (e.g. helping them construct RFP responses).
• Generating customer facing compliance and specification documentation.  

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• A deep understanding of Mobile Packet Core technology, standards and customer use cases, with experience and a proven flair for test definition and execution.
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly on a wide range new components/areas/technologies and get the job done.
• Passion for mobile packet core technology and delivering a high quality solution that delights our customers.
• Collaborative working style with great critical thinking and ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics.
• Experience deploying Azure services (or other cloud services) is preferred, with familiarity with Kubernetes, containers and virtualization a particular benefit.
• Some basic scripting experience required (or willingness to learn).
