Job Summary

The Employee Measures Ingredients, Puts Ingredients Into Batch Vats And Mixes Ingredients That Are Supplied To The Production Lines. Performs Analysis On In-Process And Finished Products And R&D Samples To Ensure Specifications Are Met.  Makes Accept/Reject Decision On Incoming Raw Materials And Pre-Shipment Samples Based On Pre-Established Criteria.  Places Defective Product On Hold In Accordance With Hold Procedures.  Resolves And Reports Defect Issues.  Interacts With Other Departments To Communicate Testing Results.  They Will Also Drive A  Forklift To Move Materials And Load/Unload Trucks, Recharges Batteries On The Forklift And Use Other Material Movers As Needed.  In Event Of This Person Absence, Coverage Will Be Provided.

Position Responsibilities

  • Mixes "slurries" required for all popcorn lines, maintaining a satisfactory quality standard and the timely transfer of slurry to appropriate holding tanks
  • Prepares and maintains production records as required
  • Unloads oil tankers
  • Performs all quality assurance checks including but not limited to inspecting the lines during pre-operations time periods, taking sauce samples for microbial testing, sampling components, and recoding accurate information on all required forms
  • Performs product/component hold duties in accordance with company policy
  • Expected ownership of the environmental sampling and daily swabbing programs
  • Operates power forklift equipment in a safe manner while unloading incoming materials from trailers in warehouse area, move materials to production area, remove finished goods stacked on pallets to shipping dock and load trailers
  • Prepares paperwork required to record incoming materials and finished goods shipped
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and one year forklift operating experience in a production and/or distribution center
  • Ability to read and write English for comprehension of instructions and documentation
  • Previous experience in operating forklifts and power equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality
  • Lift/carry and push/pull up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to follow formula standards and specifications
  • Some mechanical aptitude/ability
  • Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
  • Ability to interpret graphs
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to read measurements/rules
  • Previous manufacturing/production experience is preferred
  • Computer experience or the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to problem solve when production/maintenance issues arise
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
  • Regular attendance to ensure production goals requirements are met
