IT is a busy department and technology plays a key part in enabling the Trust to deliver on its strategic objectives. Our vision is to equip the Trust with the technology we all need to do our jobs confidently. Working collaboratively with all areas of the Trust, we focus on delivering the Trust’s priority information services at pace, focusing on the needs of our people and supporters. We are continuously improving and securing Trust information services and take great pride in what we do.

The Microsoft 365 Team is a well-known and well-respected team not just within IT, but the organisation as whole. Currently made up of 3 enthusiastic specialists, you would be joining an energetic team who all love innovating and providing the slickest user experience. Primarily responsible for all things identity and collaboration, you would be continuing to build a modern and flexible workplace which enables people to stay engaged and be even more productive than they have before. With a close working relationship with Microsoft, you will be hands on with the latest productivity and security technologies. Testing, evaluating, delivering and then managing exciting new capabilities as soon as they become available, ensuring your customers (the Trust’s most important asset, its people) have the best tools to do their job.
Our central head office Heelis, is situation in Swindon, Wiltshire. We're well placed, with ample parking nearby, a shopping outlet with plenty of options for places to eat, and the town centre only a 10 minute walk away. Alternatively you can enjoy our open plan atrium space for lunch times, with our internal café available every day.
As an IT Engineer in the Microsoft 365 Team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimisation of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This will range from acting as the technical lead for the implementation of a newly released component or feature, providing great best practice guidance where you see a gap, to supporting 3rd line escalation for our people’s issues in this space. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring this business-critical set of solutions always provide the best possible experience for National Trust staff and volunteers.
