KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To deliver high quality classroom and on the job training to support learners to achieve their Fork Lift Truck qualifications
• To be the FLT expert on shift to provide on-going information, advice and guidance to drivers and members of the management and Health and Safety teams
• To assist Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers in managing underperformance through actively coaching individuals deemed to be underperforming by the management team
• To be a custodian of the training paperwork trail and ensures that all training paperwork is completed to a high standard in all instances
• To share best practice and communicate ideas in order to constantly develop the training provision within the DCs
• To be a role model for standards of safety, product care and Key Performance Indicators; communicating these standards effectively to trainees
• To regularly update Team Leaders, Supervisors and Management on how new starters are progressing and provide them with summary training records
• To attend regular site Trainer Meetings to share best practice and discuss ways of improving the overall site training provision
• Undertake any incident reviews, and responsible for key part of refresher and or not fit to operate decisions
• Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the business.
• Responsible for the standard of MHE operatives on site
• Completing Monthly audits on current drivers, looking at best practice and continues improvement in standard of operators
• Investigate the shock reports from your shift and Communicate further actions.

SKILLS

• Hold relevant FLT licences & previous experience within a warehouse environment is essential.
• RTITB Instructor - desirable (training will be provided for the right candidate)
• Hold a recognised teaching qualification DTTLS/Cert Ed or equivalent - desirable
• Previous experience of delivering FLT and Warehousing courses
• Confidence in IT skills, is an advantage
• Ability to motivate self and learners
• Ability to use initiative and be flexible in approach
• Contribute and work well as part of a team
