Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Space & Commercial Market Facing Team. This position's preferred location is Woodland Hills, CA with an option to be based in another Northrop Grumman facility in the US and/or work remote on a part-time basis.
Reporting to the Space and Commercial Business Development Director, within Strategy & Mission Solutions, the individual will lead efforts to identify, prioritize, develop and acquire program opportunities for the space and strategic programs markets. Programs of interest focus on domestic opportunities to include both new starts and development/mission expansion of existing programs. The individual selected will be responsible for the development and assessment of new opportunities for navigation and reference systems based on inertial technology. The Business Development manager will be responsible for the development and maturation of contact plans with customer organizations and influencers to develop new and expanded business opportunities. The individual is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for identifying and maturing initial capture targets, market/mission expansion within and among the DoD Services (including Labs) and Prime Contractors, and effectively marketing the space & strategic portfolio’s products and capabilities. This individual will develop contact plans, strategic win themes, and support capture teams. The individual will work and collaborate with a team of business developers and other integrated program team members including all required functions in the Northrop Grumman Corporation, primes, teammates and subcontractors to develop and implement win strategies, compliant with Northrop Grumman’s business acquisition process.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
At least 10 years experience in the space or strategic domains
At least 5 years experience in business development, acquisition, or subcontracting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Working knowledge of inertial sensors and navigation technologies and marketspace
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science or MBA Degree.
Existing relationships with Government Labs / S&T stakeholders with interest in the space domain
Current DOD Secret or TS clearance
Salary Range: $148,300 USD - $233,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
