Working behind the scenes in our manufacturing plants, Metrology Technicians are vital to the success of our business at P&G. As a Metrology Technician, you will inspect and measure highly complex manufactured and purchased precision parts.
Meaningful work on day 1
As a Metrology Technician will do various types of work, including:
- Set up and operate a variety of Metrology equipment and tooling using written and graphical information supplied from a CAD/CAM system.
- Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments to assure high quality levels in component machining. Report all non-conformance conditions.
- Setup, monitor and maintain tooling during job run.
- Perform semi-complex 3D modeling, programming and debug as required.
- Load, inspect, and run programs to a high complexity (+/- .0001â€/.025mm).
- Perform in-process inspection and document results.
- Follow systems processes for job tracking and recording.

- Displaying strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Knowledge of blueprint reading
- Understanding of shop related math
- Ability to use a computer, to work from complicated drawings and/or verbal communication in the assembly of components.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
Qualifications
We believe you will be an excellent fit here if, you are:
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
Preferred work experience or certifications:
Knowledge of machine shop practices
We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Lift 30 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
- Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
