Position Summary:

In the role of the HR Generalist, you will support employees the manufacturing operation, including salaried and hourly team members, in a variety of HR responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for benefit administration, including processing benefit changes, leave of absence administration, etc.
  • Administer the job bidding process and utilize an HRIS to process any job changes
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms, documents, and employee files.
  • Counsel employees, managers and supervisors regarding change and conflict management
  • Work with Manufacturing and Union leadership to foster a continuous improvement culture in our manufacturing facilities
  • Responsible for grievance and contract administration.
  • Investigates employee complaints, inappropriate conduct, and performance issues.
  • Recommends and issues disciplinary action when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or another business-related field
  • 1-4 years of human resources experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, follow-up, and interpersonal skills
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion in the collection and dissemination of information; ensures that highly sensitive, proprietary and confidential information is released to only those authorized
  • Customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills necessary to courteously and effectively address sensitive and confidential information by telephone, in writing, and in face-to-face contacts with the public and associates at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting a Human Resources Department
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems, particularly Kronos and Workday
