Position Summary:

This person will perform basic solder functions following work instruction to include melting and applying solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using soldering iron. Assembler will also melt and separate soldered joints to repair misaligned or damaged assemblies using soldering equipment (Basic solder, through-hole solder, etc). Achieving hourly rate of production and inspection of all parts is required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Position requires Assembler to be mechanically inclined with basic reading, writing and mathematic skills.  Position requires Assembler to work in a team environment,  follow direction and read work instructions; including addition and subtraction of part counts, organizational skills, required to multi task, color vision and read small print *.  Other requirements include, use of hand tools, scales, and other process related equipment. Specific PPE is required.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Basic Soldering experience using hand held solder gun
• Experience working with microscope while soldering
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must have normal to high manual dexterity skills
• Must be able to use hand tools, scales, and other process related equipment
• Moderate lifting up to 10lbs, lifting assistance is provided when necessary
• Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling and grasping of small-medium-large parts
• Assembler must have full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck and back to perform job duties
• Extensive attention to detail

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
• Computer literate
• Attendance occurrence record should be excellent
