Description
Electro – Mechanical Test Engineering Co-op: Work for the undisputed leader in the Marine Industry! Mercury Marine, a Division of Brunswick Corporation based in Fond du Lac, WI, is a unique, fun and rewarding place to work. Seeking an Electrical Engineering student to provide test support for electro-mechanical components such as helm controls, actuators, ignition systems, alternators, starters, harnessing, and sensors. Student would be expected to write technical reports from test results and follow-up on failure analysis. Student would also support system-level boat testing and validation of electronics on the boat. Student should have excellent skills in data reduction and analysis through standard software packages. As an Electrical Engineering Co-op – you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified engineering professionals who are responsible for the design, production and manufacture of outboard and sterndrive motors for the recreational boating industry. You will become an integral member of an engineering team committed to delivering superior results. You’ll learn how to work with a team of technicians, in a lab or on a boat on the water, as you own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion. You will create test plans, conduct electrical tests, acquire data, and document test results.
Required Experience
Qualifications of a successful candidate: BS Degree with Electrical Engineering emphasis. Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits. Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) through a full co-op term running January to August 2022 or June to December 2022. The ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your university, dependable, self-motivated and engaged learner.
