Position Summary:

Our leader in continuous improvement.  Responsible for cross functional change to meet or exceed company targets. Strategizes, plans, implements and measures to improve and control current processes and systems.  Directly reports to General Manager, supporting all departments to meet business objectives.

  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies
  • Drives process improvement initiatives throughout the organization, often extending them to suppliers and customers
  • Seeks out the opportunities for improvement.  Takes initiative to build the plan for solving the problem.  Defines, measures, analyzes, improves, and develops a control plan to sustain the improvements
  • Prioritizes the projects and resources for achieving the fastest results to the business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Self-starting, energetic, experienced in leading unfamiliar teams through continuous improvement actions and making positive connections with the resources early on
  • Work is primarily achieved by the individual and through project teams, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge
  • Experience leading teams and coaching individuals to be better problem solvers
  • Requires the application of expertise in professional areas to achieve results
  • Progression within the Career Band reflects increasing depth of professional knowledge, project management and ability to influence others
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has working knowledge and experience in operations and engineering
  • Is staying current with technology and software that make our lives easier to manage and utilize high amounts of data from our processes and machines
  • Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
  • Can perform a range of assignments and quickly find strategy to solve ambiguous problems
  • Typically requires or is working towards Six Sigma certification (i.e., Master Black Belt, Black Belt)
