Cigna Medicare Advantage (CMA), Part D and Medicaid solutions within the Cigna Government division.
The Medicare Market Manager is the Cigna Medicare P&L owner for the market.
Success in this role will largely be determined by the Market Manager’s ability to communicate the vision for a truly innovative and solution oriented networks strategy for Cigna Medicare across its provider network considering ever evolving policy and competitive marketplace adjustments and its subsequent pressure on price and access.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops the local market strategy, in collaboration with senior leadership, to meet growth and financial performance, with both the existing operating market and expansion in mind, to support Cigna’s overall value proposition. Prompts alignment to all segment strategies represented in the local market to drive local market top-line and bottom-line growth.
- Face of Cigna Medicare in the community, developing a strong Cigna brand, in partnership with other Cigna leaders in the market.
- Leads teams made up of direct reports and matrix partners to drive performance of the health plan, inclusive of Sales, Product, Actuary, Marketing, Legal, Care Allies, STARs, Health Services, Commercial, and Service Operations.
- Develop the market’s provider network to achieve quality, growth and financial performance across HMO and PPO offerings. Works to meet unit cost targets, while preserving an adequate network, to achieve and maintain Cigna's competitive position.
- Manages complex contracting strategies with many provider types, including primary care, specialists, hospitals, MSOs, ancillary providers, etc.
- Implements network strategies, including innovative value-based incentive programs to enable high-performing networks measured through quality and affordability, and in pursuit of becoming the undisputed partner of choice.
- Manages key provider relationships and is accountable for critical interface with providers and business staff.
- Inspire a collaborative culture while achieving industry leading employee, provider and customer Net Promoter Scores.
- Attract, recruit, hire, develop, mentor, coach and retain top talent. Seeks out and develops bench strength for the most critical roles in the market.
- Assembles and directs a management team that will promote a long-term vision in the market, and rewards/ encourages accountability while recognizing individuality and diversity.
- Delivers on both a short and long term business-driven strategic talent plan that ensures continuous, high-quality, diverse talent to enable execution of the local market strategy.
- Drives change leadership to best align the organization in a rapidly evolving industry and marketplace.
- Creates and leads initiatives resulting in improved customer retention, improved competitive positioning, and increased membership and earnings growth, while maintaining a strong brand reputation in the marketplace.
REQUIREMENTS:
This role is Flexible which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
