OVERVIEW:

This leadership position is responsible for developing product strategy and leading development of Evernorth’s Care Management and End to end solution delivery and management.  Will lead a team of product directors who own individual solution lines, including medical management, disease management, health and wellness and connected clinical solutions.  Key responsibilities include developing and executing product strategy, product architecture, and roadmap.

In addition to overseeing expansion and enhancement of existing solutions, this position leads strategy to design new product concepts.  This leader must have a well-developed matrix management process and demonstrate high influencing skills to accomplish significant objectives in a complex environment, with ability to develop product concepts that maximize innovation, growth and affordability.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy:

- Lead strategy to design innovative on condition specific and total population solutions, including, but not limited to disease management, medical management, health and wellness and connected clinical solutions spanning care delivery and care management.

- Evaluate business opportunities to optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of market trends, emerging business models, new technology, competitive landscape and consumer/client insights.

- Define and prioritize multi-year product roadmap.

- Develop and deliver business cases to support recommended strategies and deliver product enhancements/new product solutions.

- Ensure strategy aligns with other Evernorth key initiatives and business priorities.

- Work with pricing partners to ensure competitive pricing of solutions.

- Work closely with growth officer to drive product performance, penetration and achievement of strategy plan commitments.

Product Development:

- Define and execute a strategy to proactively address risks and ensure required resources are engaged to meet established objectives.

- Work with analytics to ensure ability to demonstrate product value to market and clients.

- Collaborate with corporate development on potential acquisition, partnership and other strategies that will accelerate the strategy and deliver growth and affordability commitments.

- Translate product needs into detailed requirements across delivery teams / enterprise projects, including the end to end customer experience.

- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. GD&A, operations, IT) to execute on the product concept, delivering the value in the business case on time.

- Develop press releases and sales material to market products and train Sales and Go To Market teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Bachelor’s degree.

- 10+ years of experience within the healthcare industry preferred.

- 10+ years of product development experience required.

- Medicare product experience preferred.

- Knowledge of Cigna and ESI’s segments, products and supporting platforms preferred.

- Trusted team player with proven ability to foster and manage working relationships within a matrix environment.

- Ability to work independently.

- Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate ideas into actions; ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.

- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with frequent shifting priorities and due dates.

- Proven oral and written communication skills across various levels of the organization.

- Proficient in PowerPoint, excel and word.

- Demonstrated ability to drive results with sense of urgency.

- Ability to travel when needed.

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
