MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN
Brunswick i-JET is seeking a passionate and talented mechanical engineer to join our Research Park Team in Champaign, IL. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified engineering professionals who are responsible for the design and development of components and assemblies used within the marine group as well as our fitness division. You will become an integral member of an engineering team committed to delivering superior results. You'll learn how to work within the engineering team as you own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion.
AS THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN, YOU WILL:
Research Emerging Technologies in Connected/Wireless Products as well as heaAutonomous Vehicles sensor systems
Be introduced to Advanced Software Platforms on Linux
Design Hardware Prototypes for Proof of Concept Assemblies
Work with Design Analysis teams to run linear and non-linear types of structural analysis as well as CFD
Support benchmarking activities of competitive products
Investigate new technologies in the marine industry
QUALIFICATIONS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Current enrollment in a BS or MS program in Mechanical Engineering or related field at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign
Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours, per week for the duration of the internship.
If on a student visa, must be able to obtain CPT work authorization.
Self-motivated and engaged learner
Ability to prepare and deliver quality presentation and reports
