The Coca-Cola Freestyle Innovation Center is growing and looking for a Fluidics Engineer to continue our success in delivering the best dispensed beverage experience on the planet.
The candidate will join the Core Technologies team, which is responsible for the development of fluidics and control technologies for the Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispensers. We need engineers capable of working across boundaries to understand customer needs, to design and improve world-leading products, and to put them into production using our stage-gate process.
What You’ll Do
Support the development of Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispenser fluidics systems through all aspects of the iterative design process including Alpha design/build/test cycles as well as Beta builds and field trials.
Lead the design and development of technologies that enable an unprecedented variety of quality beverages to be dispensed in a cup. Technologies include pumps, valves, flow controls and flow meters, control algorithms, nozzles, cooling and carbonation systems, tubing and fittings.
Work cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, software, and structural engineering teams to optimize the beverage dispenser design as a whole. Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across engineering disciplines is a must.
Improve performance and reliability of existing fluidics technologies.
Develop and release engineering documentation in a formal change management system using ECNs.
Create and review detailed design documentation including CAD, drawings, supplier cutsheets, and component specifications.
Apply design tools including FMEA, DVP, DMAIC, DoE, etc. to plan the work, mitigate risk, and improve the quality and reliability of the beverage dispenser.
Interact with suppliers, customers, and field service technicians to identify and efficiently resolve equipment performance issues remotely and on-site. Strike an appropriate balance between short term countermeasures and long-term permanent solutions.
