Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring operating conditions and reporting critical alarms of the following equipment:
  • Boilers
  • Chillers
  • Pumps
  • Air Compressors
  • Cooling towers
  • Control room alarms
  • BAS systems- Building Automation Systems.

• Maintain a working understanding of facilities and perform maintenance effectively by “BKM” (best known method), OEM practice or general direction.
• Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and machines and recommend corrective action.
• Work effectively with other team members in an industrial environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to act competently in emergencies
• This position is a full-time position and will require shift flexibility to work some weekends, and holidays. 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

• Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. 
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling 
  required of objects up to 50 pounds.  Climbing and working from ladders. 
• Ability to walk and stand for an extended period.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful trade or vocational school completion.
• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering specialties (preferred).
• 5 years’ experience in one or more of the building trades.
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.
• Possess competent computer skills.

Conditions of Employment:
