Works with various employees to expand knowledge of company and aid the learning process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Work with assigned area of the company (Commercial Insurance, Employee Benefits, Small Business, Personal Lines, etc.) to expand knowledge of the company and the insurance industry.
2. Complete specific projects for departments related to operations, sales support, business and analysis and other areas as needed.
3. Assist department staff with various tasks in support of business.
4. Participate in internship meetings and discussions across Truist, Insurance Holdings and McGriff.
 

At the end of the internship period, be prepared to:

·         Share a written evaluation of your internship experience

·         Meet with the internship committee to evaluate the experience

·         Evaluate future career objectives

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Must be a rising college junior or senior; Preference given to rising seniors
2. Strong verbal and written communications skills
3. Ability to effectively interact with teammates at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
4. Ability to work with minimal supervision
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and details
6. Ability to operate a computer with Windows knowledge; Word and Excel preferred
7. Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
8. Ability to work virtually or in an assigned company office
