Job Description

Responsible for ensuring purchasing and fulfillment of direct materials within the factory by interfacing between factory production scheduling and supplier representatives to ensure delivery of on-time materials to the plant while optimizing costs.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum: 
    •    At least 5 years of Supply Chain Experience.

    Preferred: Planning, operations, scheduling experience

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • 1.    Power User and Single Point of Contact responsible for developing inventory strategies for the site.  Manages the inventory levels of high dollar & high impact materials to ensure inventory KPI's are met each period while maintaining high service levels.  

    2.           Functional expert, involved in upstream continuous improvement and strategic initiatives, working closely with the regional Commercial Operations team, sourcing, and COE. Responsible for working with the factory finance, warehouse and production teams to roll out changes. Partner with these functions to identify root cause analysis and create solutions, develop plan with the regional team to implement. Make recommendations for continuous improvement to the regional Commercial Operations team.

    3.    Single Point of Contact for the Site Product launches and Value and Profitability Optimization initiatives including road mapping strategies for new materials, suppliers, timing, milestone identification, interdependencies and deliverables.

    4.    Utilizes superior project management and execution approaches to ensure required customer service levels from our suppliers which support products manufactured for the factory. Ultimately responsible for ensuring fulfillment for the site, including but not limited to: materials management strategy that balances desired service levels with cash flow management and obsolescence minimization, ensuring that systemic service, quality, and performance issues are mitigated or elevated if necessary, to procurement ops, and executing against sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risks.

    5.    Responsible for implementing best-in-class supplier management tools to deliver required performance metrics. Leverage KPI's such as on-time delivery, SOI aged inventory, and working capital to identify Supplier and Inventory continuous improvement ideas and work with cross functional teams (finance, commercial operations, and sourcing) to develop plans and implement changes.
