Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Individual must be capable of performing all of the following job duties as required:

• Must complete forklift inspection daily.
• Experience in loading and unloading trucks, usage of dock locks, etc.
• Cardboard and trash compactor training.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:  Packaging area, include the following:

• Keep lines set up with correct packaging material. (Cartons, cases, film, etc).
• Monitor schedule to ensure that correct materials are set for change overs.
• Keep pallets set up on lines when running bulk pack products and take full pallets back to shipping as needed.
• Keep record of lot numbers of packaging materials brought out to the production floor.
• Communicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.

Responsibilities:  Processing area, include the following:

• Keep lines set up with dry ingredients. (Crumbs, pre-dust, spice blends, etc.)
• Keep lines set up with tempered fish from the holding freezer.
• Assist with the moving/set up of the processing equipment at change overs.
• Assist utility operator with baling cardboard and dumping trash in processing area if needed.
• Pull eggs, oil, and other ingredients needed for Bldg. 22 pancake lines.
• Keep record of lot numbers of ingredients brought to processing area.
• Communicate problems with the line to the Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

ability required.  Must have (or the ability to obtain) Forklift and Hand truck Certification.  Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Reports to Supervisor. 

Education and / or Experience:

High School diploma or General Education degree (GED).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger; handle; or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; and crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 70 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and cold.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
