As the material management coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, packaging, and consumables between R&D departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. You will review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors to determine material availability.
Our Materials Management organization is a critical group within Research & Development that ensures we have quality materials ready for use in our innovation work. This includes the entire process from buying, receiving, sampling, dispensing, distribution and disposal of raw materials, primary package and intermediate products. As a member of this organization, you will interact with cross functional partners to enable innovation. We are seeking someone with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and oral communication) across multiple interfaces. You will need to clearly articulate how plans will be executed, how generated data will be handled and analyzed, and the expected timing given multiple projects / priorities. We also feel that collaboration, executional excellence, creative and troubleshooting skills will also be advantageous in this role.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Train and certify on all required policies, systems and equipment.
Becoming proficient in several material management areas/tasks, such as standards, receiving, buying, etc.
Manages dispensing and sampling lists and works with management to make priority calls as needed to enable meeting business needs.
Reviews and ensures proper documentation is available to enable use of materials by the R&D groups. Works with vendors to identify any resolution needed.
Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
Qualifications
We believe you will be an excellent fit here if you have:
An Associate’s Degree in an Engineering or Science field (Engineering, Biology or Chemistry. Although, we will also consider Anthropology, Psychology, or Sociology degrees or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant experience.
Experience in a biology, chemistry, or social science lab.
Experience with Microsoft Office
A mindset for completing tasks with excellence and attention to detail, while abiding to all GMP (and safety and QA) requirements.
