Summary:

Responsible for new customer account set-ups as well as ongoing maintenance of existing customer accounts. The Master Data specialist will require knowledge and application of state tax laws and state prescription license requirements and regulations. This role requires interactions with internal and external customers via various communication methods. Must be adept at handling ambiguous situations, multi-tasking, and ability to analyze work under pressure. In this role the candidate will need to work collaboratively with the following departments: Business Operations, Regulatory, Tax, Credit and Collections, Customer Service, Hardware, various Sales Representatives, Baxter Export and others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. 

• Applies Baxter’s Distribution Strategy Screening process to identify qualified customers.
• Process approved credit applications ensuring customers provide correct state issued documentation.
• Set-up and Maintain customer accounts adhering to departmental procedures, and Governance Rules ensuring consistent customer data.
• Documentation and compliance to internal and external audits to ensure compliance to SoX requirements and other regulatory laws.
• Handle questions and facilitate necessary research to resolve issues for internal and external customers.
• Process email requests from customers and business partners to meet a 48-hour SLA.
• Perform various projects including; master data cleansing, account restructuring and maintenance, acquisitions and mergers, and meeting scheduled timelines.
• Perform data verification and research in preparation for mass account uploads and changes.
• Must possess the ability to analyze current processes and form recommendations to improve them.

Qualifications. 

• Individual must be highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated. 
• Strong ability to prioritize multi-functional activities and manage ambiguous situations required. 
• Individual must be able to work under pressure, meet identified timelines and collaborate well with the team. 
• Must possess the ability to analyze current processes and form recommendations to improve. 
• Expertise in working in the Windows environment is required. 
• Prior knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
• Strong team player with superior collaboration skills.
• Solid organization skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and deliver on commitments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
• Demonstrated analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Currently work shift schedule hours are 8:30-5:00pm, but subject to change.
• Some overtime may be required.

Education and/or Experience. 

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Minimum two to four years relevant professional experience required.
• Expertise in working in the Windows environment, excel and Word.
• Prior knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus
• Knowledge of the CIC Interaction Client software a plus.
