Job Description
The Master Data Specialist functions as a member of the Planning and Allocation team and will be responsible for the creation, development and maintenance of master data ensuring data integrity standards within SAP Environment for M&M’s Retail Digital and Business to Business channels. This position is the tactical focal point for data maintenance and requires collaboration with stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
The Master Data Specialist is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and management of data collection. This position must comply with business standards and procedures, as well as, work to continuously improve data standards, quality, repositories and processes that include original input, change functions, auditing and data cleansing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years’ work experience, preferably in planning and allocation
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make judgements based on data
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Advanced Degree
- 3 years’ work experience, preferably in planning and allocation
- Experience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems and Asset
- Experience in Omni-Channel Retail Planning, logistics, finance or operations preferred.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Master Data and Variant creation
- Responsible for on-going entry, control, and maintenance of all data (ie. customer, product SKUs, etc.) elements in SAP Retail.
- Working with Business functions and IT teams to analyze, design, develop, modify, test and implement SAP Fusion solutions to satisfy M&M’S Retail business requirements
- Comprehending and performing complex configuration tasks and testing in the areas of Sales, Production, Supply and Distribution
- Develop standards/templates for entering and managing new materials, including creating and building Bills of Materials and Routing tables, and change management
- Includes responding to requests from stakeholders for changes to, or creation of master data records, and managing the requests through a formal process of validation and approval
- Support the creation of master data management strategy which includes establishing, enforcing & coordinating the execution of workflow procedures to bring about timely and accurate population of master data elements.
