The Mars Internship Experience is a 10-12 week summer program providing excellent depth of experience with various real world Mars projects. You will also have exciting professional and social engagement activities throughout the experience that provide opportunities to network with your Intern peers all the way up to senior leaders. What are we looking for?

• We are looking for students with demonstrated ability to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations, thinks strategically and creatively, and has the ability to add value with analytic and forecast methodologies.

• Ideal candidates work with large datasets and can utilize tools such as SQL, databricks, python, Dremio, Alteryx, Tableau, Python.

• Desired majors include: Marketing/Business/Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, and MBA

• The Mars Market Insights internship opportunities will be located in our headquarter offices in Franklin, TN (Metro Nashville). We operate in a flexible work environment with some days a week working from the office and others from home.

• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date

• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employmentEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening 

• Open to students from any graduate/MBA level program pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Find whitespaces in the pet food category and create strategic recommendations for filling portfolio gaps
• Deliver competitive intelligence focused on understanding competitor strengths, focus areas, and operating model while recommending appropriate activation tactics
• Translate human food trends to the pet food category and quantifies the potential value of the space
• Develop a sales or demand attribution model that can be replicated on a regular basis
