Job Description

The Traffic team manages all resource pools within the Marketing department for the delivery of everything for the UK and International markets. That's basically all the amazing customer-facing marketing, promotional and editorial content and campaigns we put live.

The Traffic team currently consists of a Lead Traffic Manager, Senior Traffic Manager, Junior Traffic manager, and an Administrator. We are now looking to complete this team by adding a new Traffic Manager to the team.

The Traffic teams' function can be split as follows:

1. Trafficking. Identify Workloads through Partnerships and Central Forecasts for the fiscal year ensuring resource levels are adequate. Teams include and are not limited to Creative, Copy, Editorial, Fashion, Video, Design, Social and Content Specialists.

2. Freelancers and Finance. Directly relating to resourcing, the Traffic team are directly responsible for all Freelance contractors that work in the Marketing Department. At any given point we will deal with 5 to 30 freelancers.

3. Operations. Administration is at the centre of the traffic team as part of that we lead on the Project Management tool to ensure it is always up to date.

The team itself are a passionate bunch - passionate about ASOS, our global customers and the projects we work on - all whom are truly supportive of each other both in and out of the office. 

Reporting into the Lead Traffic Manager the purpose of this versatile role is to manage the planning within Marketing.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Forward planning the resource schedule using Workfront Keeping the workflow running seamlessly through the Marketing team.
  • Working closely with Partnerships Producers, central producers and Team Leads to ensure projects are booked in early enough to deliver on time, quality and budget.
  • Pre-empting scheduling clashes and resolving issues before they happen.
  • Managing a busy and ever-changing schedule on a day-to-day basis
  • Understanding who does what to allocate the right skills and time
  • Holding daily and weekly resource meetings when required
  • The day-to-day maintenance of the freelance tracking system allowing accurate forecasting and month end reconciliation
  • PO requesting and receipting using Dynamics365
  • Manage the freelancers onboarding process (getting NDA signed, sending ‘Welcome’ email, …)
  • Managing the legal freelance process as part of IR35
  • Ensure freelancers timesheets are approved on time and with the correct PO numbers
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies to make sure they use the correct PO number on their invoices
  • Manage and update the ‘preferred freelancer’ list Manage and update Workfront as and when freelance and perm staff leave

  

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience working in house or at an agency in a similar role
  • Experience working in a team with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of seniority
  • An enthusiastic and proactive attitude. This role needs to be flexible and versatile
  • It is imperative that you enjoy fast paced rhythm, constant change and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. This is crucial in a high-growth environment, which continuously redefines itself, and essential for a candidate to have

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional at multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management Comfortable with numbers
  • Comfortable with Excel and using formulas
  • Previous experience using Dynamics365 is required but not essential
  • An understanding of project management, budgeting and HR principles is essential
  • Excellent understanding of how creative projects and creative team are resourced
  • Brilliant verbal and written communication Experience using Workfront as a Studio Planning tool desired but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail Dynamic, innovative and lateral thinking skills Change leader – motivated by operating in a changing, flexible environment
  • Confident, calm, organised and a clear thinker Business language is English; however, we’re trying to grow an internationally aware and relevant team so knowledge/experience of different languages/backgrounds and nationalities are all-important.
