About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Marketing Program Manager, you will devise creative, fun, and non-standard solutions to help leaders communicate their roadmap and strategy to their teams. You will also partner with the Chief of Staff and our Strategy and Operations organization to ensure our communications focus on the right priorities at the right time.

Empowering and supporting the LGBTQ+ community has been a longstanding commitment for Google. In this role, will support and deepen that commitment through internal programs, external marketing efforts, and partnerships. You will work with executive leaders to create and execute LGBTQ+ marketing and community engagement strategies. You will work with teammates, leadership, internal partners, and external stakeholders. You will interface with and support multiple marketing teams and represent Marketing cross-functionally.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

Write and edit standard communications for executives, including emails, FAQs, and presentations. Liaise with our communication stakeholders to align on internal and external activities (i.e., interview briefings, analyst discussions, speech copywriting, emails, and social media content).

Manage a yearly communications plan with inputs from Strategy and Operations and Program Management teams.

Define our LGBTQ+ marketing strategy and ensure we maintain a continuous marketing presence to support the community.

Maintain ongoing communication among the internal community, external LGBTQ+ thought leaders, and our marketing team to ensure Google’s message is resonating and providing sustainable impact.

Deepen LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) support through internal program management, including the LGBTQ+ Leadership Group and partnerships with ERG SteerCos, Employee Engagement, and Policy.
