Job Description

We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for marketing strategy and planning for Synaptic, to meet business development objectives and support growth. Reporting onto the Synaptic COO, they will work with the pillar Head of Marketing and other stakeholders within Synaptic to help drive demand, generate leads, and increase brand awareness across our portfolio.

This will involve delivering marketing campaigns within financial, investment and protection market, so experience working within financial services sector is required.

This is a 12 month FTC

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

Marketing strategy

  • Development of Synaptic marketing strategy and plans
  • Execution of the marketing plans
  • Presenting innovative marketing ideas and securing buy in from the various stakeholders

Marketing campaign planning and delivery

  • Research/insight briefing to inform marketing decision-making
  • Marketing planning
  • Developing marketing campaigns to support the launch of our new SaaS cloud application Pathways designed on the Salesforce platform.
  • Content creation
  • Campaign prioritization
  • Campaign briefing and readiness
  • Managing and delivering marketing communications and channels to new and existing customers.

Social media and website content management

  • Managing and delivering on social media plan and strategy.
  • Writing and updating content on Synaptic website
  • Owning and delivering digital customer engagement strategy

Relationship management

  • Managing marketing agency and suppliers to support the roll-out of our new brand including a new website.
  • Act as a liaison between company and Salesforce Partner Account Manager in order to maximise the Salesforce partner status and leverage all Salesforce partner marketing channels and assets
  • Act as a liaison between company and Capita internal marketing and creative teams
  • Manage relationships with partners and suppliers

Reporting

  • Manage marketing performance and continuously improve marketing outcomes via all channels
  • Internal reporting on campaign delivery and ROI
  • Reviewing and optimising performance with campaign team

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent marketing planning skills
  • Strategic thinker and an experienced doer
  • Strong people and interpersonal skills 
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles
  • Willingness and capability to cover all aspects of marketing planning and execution; not considering that a task needing doing is beneath them as this role requires a very hands on approach
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading, written and personal communications skills
  • Experience of financial planning propositions or within the financial services sector
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent in marketing or a related qualification (CIM or equivalent)
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team or independently
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines
