Job summary
We launched Amazon Small Business Accelerators (aka ASBA) to help businesses to digitize during COVID. They are now live in five European countries (UK, DE, FR, IT, ES) and all have a combination of e-learning and online events, with support extending beyond digitization. ASBAs are a key pillar of our broader “Force for Good†narrative, aiming to improve overall public perception on Amazon through fostering entrepreneurship. Our vision is to scale ASBA to establish Amazon as a champion and force-for-good for all 25MM European small businesses and prospective entrepreneurs.
The Amazon Marketplace UK team is looking for a Marketing Manager to support ASBA teams across the EU. This role will report into the Head of EU ASBA, and will require you to work across Amazon teams and locales, whilst coordinating with external agencies to deliver a step change in ASBA user acquisition in 2022 and beyond. You will be responsible for executing the ASBA marketing strategy, coordinating with PMs from multiple teams, whilst refining our approach and delivering improvements and efficiencies across the year.
This position requires you to have a firm grasp of how to leverage marketing channels (both on and off Amazon) to drive user acquisition, whilst also having the analytical skillset to understand the impact of changes you make to the broader strategy. It will require you to gain trust and influence multiple stakeholders to deliver results across EU; you will be expected to lead initiatives, present them to senior leaders and earn trust in a high visibility role. The ideal candidate will be organized and have a track record in a marketing role, managing competing priorities, delivering results, and innovating. He/she is analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and has strong writing skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
The ASBA Marketing Manager will have several key responsibilities within ASBA, including:
• Working closely with ASBA Leadership to support planning and business strategy to improve user acquisition
• Focusing on the customer, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver optimizations throughout the marketing funnel and broader ASBA product
• Partnering with key stakeholders both internal and external to deliver the marketing strategy (including external agencies, Amazon Advertising, Site Merchandising).
• Shape user acquisition plans for ASBA beyond 2022, compiling budget asks, and delivering deep dives to improve overall marketing
• Gaining support from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership
• Bachelor’s degree
• A background in Marketing, with experience in PPC advertising a plus
• Excellent analytical and data-mining aptitude, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create innovative new ideas that generate results
• Proven track record collaborating successfully with internal and external partners
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguous problems
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
• Related Master’s degree
• Experience in consulting and/or retail/consumer products industries
• Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
• Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments
