As a Marketing Science Data Engineer, you will use your programming and analytics background to transform B2B marketing analytics and operations. This individual will firmly represent not only what analytics and data is used in our organization, but why it’s relevant and how we continue to optimize our environment to be truly insights-driven from a trusted data service. Using Dell big data technologies and best of breed products and services, we drive fast time to value solutions that result in real business outcomes.
You will:
Develop consumable tables/views as the backend data for marketing science needs and support sustainable data operations through automation, working with systems that support marketing science ecosystem and programs.
Drive data engineering capabilities to turn data into actionable insights, enabling decision systems that use data science to predict and model future outcomes.
Document data roadmaps, dictionaries, FAQs, audit and monitoring plans according to marketing science and stakeholder needs to maintain any required projects, facilitate knowledge sharing across the team and enable scalability.
Take initiative in setting goals, deliverables, action items and preempt dependencies and blockers that might derail or delay a project, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with large complex data environments, including experience in database management, varied data infrastructures – including relational (MS SQL Server, Postgres) and unstructured databases (Hadoop/Hive), data cubes, multidimensional and tabular, data analytics, data processing, ETL, data ingestion and API development or similar role using development skills in common programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc.) to drive business recommendations and BI/visualization products such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with DevOps, data management and governance, including privacy.
Ability to integrate deep subject matter expertise with industry and professional experience to achieve strategic goals, influencing leadership decisions, mentoring team members, and leading large projects for teams.

Superior interpersonal skills to drive cross-functional collaboration and lead change initiatives, with polished, concise written and oral communications (English).
Thrive in ambiguity & work with a global team across various time-zones.
