Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator is a part of the College Football Sports Marketing team, which supports College Football Regular Season (across both ESPN and ESPN+), College GameDay and the College Football Playoff. This position provides support in the development and execution of College Football Regular Season marketing strategies and multi-platform promotional plans across ESPN (including ESPN+), in addition to providing overall support for the College Football team. The Marketing Coordinator will be a key liaison between the consumer marketing team, creative agencies, and the broader ESPN cross-functional team. The position reports to the Associate Director, Sports Marketing – College Football, and is based in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Connecting the marketing strategies and creative across the College Football property across TWDC.
  • Managing alignment of consumer marketing & brand strategies
  • Managing all creative deliverables and timelines to ensure work is finished, delivered, and trafficked on time (and on budget)
  • Owning the relationship and production timelines with the internal creative teams
  • Ensuring accuracy and excellence of all work done internally and by creative agencies

Assisting the Associate Director with the day-to-day management of the properties including:

  • Providing input on creative development and execution of marketing materials
  • Working closely with Media on the scheduling and delivery of on and off channel assets
  • Establishing relationships with key personnel in the marketing department and other business units
  • Managing day-to-day correspondence with internal and external creative partners including relaying creative feedback and management of full timelines.
  • Full understanding of the programming schedules and sponsor requirements to ensure all marketing materials and deliverables are accurate

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of College Football (conferences, teams, the playoff system)
  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a high profile, high volume portfolio
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and take initiative to get the job done
  • Strong analytical skills and active mind
  • Knowledge and an interest in the evolving media landscape and media consumption habits
  • Impressive verbal and written skills
  • Positive energy with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Hunger for learning & making a difference
  • A healthy appreciation for the role of sports with cultural trends

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
