Please review the following job description:

Assist and provide support to MAE staff in the sales, marketing and servicing of new and renewal business. Analyze data and effectively manage projects/tasks as assigned by the appointed MAEs.

B. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/MAE SUPPORT

  • Assist MAEs in the preparation of the submission to carriers
  • Order carrier loss runs, organize into loss summary and large loss detail
  • Complete loss stratifications and loss forecasters as directed by MAE
  • Process binder request forms and all supporting documentation
  • Draft proposals and confirm carrier financial ratings as directed by MAE
  • Pull work comp Mods
  • Pull property exposure data including protection classes, flood zones, valuations, and more as directed by MAE
  • Aid in the classification of autos based on GVW/GVC
  • Process Work Comp renewals from the state funds
  • Complete special projects assigned by MAE

C. COMPANY PROGRAMS

  • Develop relationships with underwriters and carrier support staff
  • Learn the risk appetite for each carrier
  • Quote, Bind and Issue policies through online rating systems for various lines of coverage with multiple insurance carriers
  • Understand NFIP guidelines and requirements for policy issuance
  • Knowledge of state workers\\\' compensation assigned risk plans and pools

D. GENERAL ADMIN SUPPORT

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of office management systems (Dashboard, Exsight, AMS 360)
  • Filing and organizing documentation into ImageRight
  • Producing and distributing correspondence letters, faxes and forms

E. COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of insurance coverage through job training and continuing education
  • Maintain current P&C insurance license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Office)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be a self-starter and take ownership of projects/tasks assigned
  • Sense of urgency in completing tasks while maintaining attention to detail
