Marketing and Sales Manager (m/f/d)

 Our work is to make the world a better place. Our products eases communications, helps you to find back home, forecasts the weather for the weekend, improves our understanding for earth and universe, among others. Everything that we sell, develop, and manufacture shall eventually be sent into space. To achieve our goal to have world class products and subsystems we collaborate with suppliers and customers across the globe. The space market has evolved during the last decade, initially space market was driven by governmental initiatives, now private initiatives from close earth space to Mars and beyond is growing rapidly for each year. We want to build upon our legacy and grow our new space business furthermore.

 To catch this tide we want you as part of our increase our international Marketing and Sales team. As you can understand we are a technology company and in order to sell products and subsystems aimed for space you need some engineering skills on top of good marketing and sales competence.

 This position may be located either in Dresden (GER) or Vienna (AUT).

 You will work in an international team supporting the whole world, from early concept proposal, fixed proposal to signing contracts for new exiting projects. You will use Key Account Managers and Business Development as your scouts and Programs as your wingman to provide winning proposals.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Business development and sales activities in the field of digital electronic systems for satellites and spacecraft
  • Develop business growth / sales strategies
  • Execute sales strategies, driving competitive analysis, pricing optimization, product roadmap to win new exiting projects
  • Develop customer relationships to ensure effective Voice of Customer and business relationships
  • Systematically analyze commercial and governmental markets worldwide
  • Manage sales execution to grow our business
  • Provide product and product roadmap presentation to customers
  • Lead international proposal teams from receiving a tender to submission.
  • Creation and follow-up of the commercial and contractual content of the offer until handover to the project team
  • Lead contract negotiation with international customers
  • Support ongoing projects in contractual / commercial matters

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Excellent understanding of economic relationships (training or further education in marketing and sales of advantage)
  • Good understanding of project-oriented company and project economics
  • Advanced technical Know-How and completed engineering education (preferably Electrical Engineering HTL / FH / TU)
  • Experience from working with technical sales support is of advantage could be of advantage
  • Technical background in signal processing, navigation, AOCS components and systems is an advantage
  • Fluent in English and German, profound communication skills
  • Several years of industrial experience in international technical sales or project management of high technology
  • Systematic work style
  • High level of self-organization
  • Openness for other cultures
  • Customer orientation, good communication skills and strong team spirit
  • Competition-oriented
