Marketing Analytics interns at Cox are an integral part of the Marketing Strategy and Intelligence team. As an intern you will be trained in the fundamental tools used to support Cox’s strategic business objectives.  Supported by senior staff members, you will work on a variety of initiatives and processes.

 

You will develop your analytic acumen using a variety of tools such as Python, SQL, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Amazon Web Services, MS office, Snowflake, Alteryx and others, while working on a variety of projects to inform marketing and pricing strategy. Projects examples may include: developing targeted pricing strategy for customer segments, forecasting, analyzing past campaign performance to inform future strategy, and building statistical analysis, predictive modeling and reporting capabilities. You will develop a strong professional network with the Cox family of companies, which includes Cox Communications (residential and business communications), Cox Auto Group (Auto Trader, Manheim, Kelley Blue Book), Cox Media (Television and Radio stations) and others.   

 SPECIFIC DUTIES

Lead initiatives to develop team’s analytic and functional capabilities

Lead initiatives to deliver data science solutions

Influence critical business decisions through analysis and modeling

Work closely with Marketing, Business Operations and Finance to ensure quality and consistency of reporting message

Identify and utilize opportunities to increase efficiency and improve team processes

Distill key business insights from large data sets

 

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Basic analytic skills

Strong background in mathematics

Highly organized, detailed oriented, and fast learner

Strong in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Attention to detail and ability to meet project timelines through good time management and workflow prioritization

Superior oral and written communications skills and presentation skills

A positive attitude, determination, and humility

 

Preferred:

All majors encouraged to apply, Industrial Engineering, Math or Economics majors are preferred

Intermediate to advanced analytic skills

Background or relevant coursework in applied statistics

Ability to conduct thorough research and use the findings to inform decision making

Python, SQL, or other coding and predictive modeling skills are highly preferred

Prior internship experience in a corporate environment is preferred
