Job Description

This position will assist in driving and supporting the productivity, quality, and cost improvement goals established for its assigned areas. It must serve as a catalyst to stimulate manufacturing-related innovations designed to continually improve our competitive position as a low cost/high end supplier.

Job Responsibilities:

•Assist the champion of new products entering the facility in terms of identifying equipment, tooling, processing required to produce the product, cost estimating, quotes of new product components, and release

•Manage the procurement of major and minor pieces of capital equipment for assigned projects

•Develop standards for new operations and/or equipment

•Provide technical support to floor employees, team leaders and supervisors.

•Assist Project Managers with project implementation.

•Process automation including PLC programming, Motor drives, PC based controls integrations.

•Coordinate and support with other division functions (i.e. production, quality, facilities, health and safety, environmental, MIS) and outside contractors

•Cell layout updates

•Perform time studies of new and existing processes

•Develop Safety and Quality corrective actions in coordination with production leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s Degree required.

•    3-5 years manufacturing experience required in automotive preferred.

•    Allen Bradley PLC experience required

•    Fanuc and Motoman Robotics or similar hardware required.

•    Experience SQL preferred

•    Experience with Atlas Copco and or Acradyne DC Tools  preferred

•    Blueprint reading ability

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•    Extensive experience with computer software – Excel, Access, AutoCAD, other CAD experience is a plus

•    Good verbal and written communication skills

•    Industrial electrical control systems and troubleshooting
