Meritor has an outstanding opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Franklin, Kentucky facility!

Job Responsibilities:

•Floor support of current processes, facilities, and equipment.

•Evaluation of existing processes, creation of new tooling, implementation of new equipment, and application of engineering standards and practices when making revisions to current processes.

•Responsible for strategic projects for long term volume and cost goals.

•Problem solving for major downtime events and quality issues.

•Coordinate with the maintenance team to complete the preventative activities and breakdown repairs.

•Coordinate with the maintenance team to identify spare parts.

•Plan, implement and review shutdown activities.

•Manage, maintain, and review monthly budgets including but not limited to:

oRepair & Maintenance (P&E).

oContractor Cost Control.

oUtilities, Shutdown and Startup plan for reduced energy consumption.

oOutside Services Usage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in manufacturing environment, specifically machining and castings.

• BS degree Engineering or equivalent degree required.

• Capable of managing a variety of engineering projects, preparing formal presentations, and maintaining project document files.

• General knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft software.

• Knowledge of drafting practices and geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

• Experience in tool and fixture design.
