This highly visible position provides financial and analytical support to multiple stakeholders within the US Commercial and Hematology Businesses. Specifically, the Manager will have significant interaction with Brand Finance, Corporate Giving, Value Access & Pricing (VAP), Global Finance Services and external auditors. The role requires strong analytical capability, communication and presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks seeking continuous improvement in a complex work environment.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Analysis and Brand Finance teams with monthly/quarterly closes process related to various gross-to-net (GTN) channels and inventory accounts. Provide key business insights from interactions with VAP, Sales Analysis and Brand Finance teams for the development of significant GTN estimates.

  • Manage quarterly analysis of US Commercialization balance sheet in connection with monthly/quarterly close and quarterly representation letter and certification process. 

  • Analyze and prepare and present support for receipts and disbursements for GTN cash flow forecasting budgets and projections.

  • Provide accounting and reporting support to BMS’ Patient Assistance Foundation program including:

  • Leading budget and projection processes.

    • Monthly expense analysis and forecast update.

    • Financial analysis to US Commercial and Hematology brand teams

    • Financial statement preparation and supporting the issuance of the annual audited financial statements and related coordination with external auditors.
       

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance with 4-6 years relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability in supporting “non-financial” business partners with understanding finance results / concepts during the budget, projection and close processes.

  • Strong analytical, accounting, verbal and written communication skills.

  • A highly motivated self-starter, with demonstrated ability to make decisions independently

  • Ability to work effectively with teams and cultivate partnerships in a complex and dynamic environment and influence others at all levels.

  • Must have focus and vision around continuous improvement and process optimization.

  • Advanced Excel skills and SAP or similar system experience.
