The position of Manager, Treasury Accounting is a member of the Global Finance organization. 

The Treasury Accounting Manager will work cross-functionally and globally with Treasury Operations Capital Markets, Total Rewards and People Services, Equity Operations, Payroll Operations, Legal, Tax, Consolidations and Financial Reporting, Business Controls Function, and Financial Planning and Analysis and other teams across the Company.

The position will be a key member of the team supporting US GAAP stock-based compensation, equity and share accounting and analysis on an actual and budget basis.  The Treasury Manager will also cross train with other areas within the Treasury Accounting group including areas such as Debt and Investment Accounting, Hedge Accounting and Derivatives.  

The Manager is a visible position and requires a proactive self-starter with the ability to effectively interact, communicate, and present results, ideas and concepts clearly with multiple departments and to all levels within the organization.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance financial reporting, analysis and modeling skills, strengthen verbal and written communication skills, and develop leadership skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and record Stock Based Compensation US GAAP P&L impacts on a monthly basis

  • Support the calculation of basic and diluted shares used in Earnings Per Share reporting

  • Present P&L and share analysis to Management

  • Record BMS stock dividends, share and treasury stock activity in SAP

  • Record and analyze all stock option, restricted stock unit, market share unit, and performance share unit awards activity 

  • Complete and review general ledger account reconciliations

  • Support the 10Q and 10K reporting and disclosure process

  • Support the External Audit process

  • Partner with Executive Comp area to compile the annual Stock Based Compensation budget and projection updates

  • Support the process to develop projected BMS share models

  • Assist Equity Operations in reconciling grant activity on a monthly basis

  • Calculate intercompany (ICBC) amounts to be cross charged monthly for vested or exercised award tax withholdings

  • Support and assist the local entity payroll/accounting contacts to reconcile equity award shares withheld for employee payroll taxes and resolve any differences. 

  • Stays abreast of changes in GAAP, IFRS, SEC and industry literature to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Assist to research accounting guidance, prepare technical memos, and coordinate with the Director of Treasury Accounting to ensure appropriate application of accounting principles

  • Maintains documentation of policies, procedures, processes and controls

  • Identify and support implementation of process improvements

  • Cross train with other Treasury Accounting areas including financial instruments (debt, investments, hedging)

  • Assist in other Treasury Accounting areas, special projects, Ad hoc analysis and other requests as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting

  • CPA or equivalent strongly preferred 

  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four public accounting firm or large multi-national corporation 

  • Advanced excel including the ability to manipulate large data sets

  • Strong US GAAP technical accounting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated as well as to communicate and be a collaborative team player 

  • Must be highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented, ability to manage numerous deliverables simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
