The Cox Family Office is hiring a Manager of Tax and FP&A to support the Trusts and Estates function within the Tax and Financial Planning Team. The Manager of Tax and FP&A will be based in Atlanta and will be directly responsible for managing tax forecasting, modeling, and reporting packages, including all underlying supporting inventories and data.
This individual will report to the Senior Manager of Tax and Financial Planning.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Lead efforts to develop new processes and improve the structure of our data to streamline services for estate compliance and tax and financial planning
Build and maintain estates and trusts planning forecasts and models, including budgeting, tax projections, and the impact of new opportunities
Create presentations on tax and financial planning strategies to facilitate discussion with family and office leadership
Design and manage implementation plan for tax and financial planning transactions
Collaborate with outside service providers on tax and financial planning projects, manage project lists and coordinate communications as needed
Research and generate documentation to support conclusions of tax and financial planning positions
Build estate readiness files for family members, including data research, compilation, and organization
Serve as key support to estates, trusts, and gifts tax compliance processes
Assist with a variety of ad hoc requests from tax compliance groups or cross-functionally (Investments, Family Services, and Legal)
The right person for this role will have a strong tax and financial planning background with experience in complex estate planning and administrative matters. They must be innovative, hard-working, and passionate about client service and delivering best-in-class service. They must be open to continuous learning and feedback. Discretion and judgment are hugely important, as is the desire to be a proactive self-starter.
Qualifications:
Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting and/or tax required; CPA preferred
5+ years of experience in tax, with a preference in the private wealth industry
Experience in preparation of tax models and projections as well as related deliverables to aid in decision-making
Proven ability to synthesize complex information in executive-level formats
Advanced MS Excel skills required, including formulas, financial functions, correlation through pivots and logic, and formatting for executive presentations.
Advanced MS PowerPoint skills preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly proactive with attention to detail and superior organizational and project management skills
Highest level of discretion and judgment
Exposure to the end-to-end estate administration process is a plus
Prior family office experience is a plus
