Responsibilities

• Evaluate individual and organisational development needs
• Develop competency frameworks (both behavioural and technical) and identify skill gaps
• Propose development plans/learning strategies based on competency/training need analysis/skill gaps
• Create and validate the necessary policy and process manuals for talent development to create more holistic learning culture
• Manage and monitor progress of high potentials and identify strategic developmental opportunities, facilitate talent planning
• Assist the group chief human resource officer in making judicious calls and making appropriate recommendations on decisions in learning and development
• Prepare and monitor the budgets for learning and development
• Validate the organisation framework for learning and development – present and future needs capturing mechanisms and methods
• Conceptualise, design and develop appropriate people development initiatives to meet the specific requirements of different business units and their needs
• Identify appropriate learning on computer-based training platforms

Profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in learning and development functions including more than 3 years in the capacity of a manager
• Possess a degree or professional qualification in human resource management or related discipline
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of current and emerging training tools and learning aids
• Ability to plan and organise in a fast-paced environment while ensuring deadlines are met
• High level of computer literacy
