Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Manager, Talent Acquisition to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana.  

The Role:

Cox Talent Acquisition (“CTA”) is responsible for providing best-in-class talent acquisition consultation and recruiting service delivery in a shared services organization spanning all Cox companies.  CTA operates in a matrix-style environment where autonomy, collaboration, and agility are vital to our success. Each member of our team has the responsibility and opportunity to influence CTA strategies, innovate improvements in our function, and drive exceptional experiences across our customer groups.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition drives a best-in-class function by collaborating with hiring leaders to develop flexible TA strategies aligning with business needs and effectively addressing business unit growth.  As a leader and mentor within CTA, the Manager, Talent Acquisition is also responsible for the professional development of individual team members and the successful operation of the team as whole.

Responsibilities:

CLIENT & STRATEGY

Serve as a trusted business partner to hiring leaders by developing talent acquisition plans and solutions to achieve short-term talent needs and long-term business growth:

Drive workforce planning strategies by proactively consulting on industry, market, and business unit specific factors impacting the planned TA vision/outlook

Counsel hiring leaders on innovative recruiting practices and effective talent planning decisions as their day-to-day TA subject matter expert

Balance the customization of individual TA solutions with the alignment of divisional TA vision and the adherence to consistent CTA practices

Develop and employ effective communication mechanisms/routines designed to fortify client partnerships and maximize information exchange

Collaborate with HR on relevant talent management practices (e.g., new hire requirements, compensation) and compliance requirements to ensure TA plans are aligned accordingly

Collaborate with Diversity & Inclusion to ensure diversity strategies are embedded and executed per plan.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

Serve as a member of the CTA leadership team by role modeling the vision of the team, the values of the company, and the focus on CTA’s best-in-class status:

Act as a day-to-day liaison between assigned Cox division and CTA to ensure continuous alignment between business needs and TA strategies

Coach, mentor, and lead direct reports through developmental plans tailored to each individual and developmental strategies aligned to overall team growth and engagement

Partner with colleagues across CTA (e.g., peers, Requisition Delivery, COE) to gather internal (e.g., new service offerings, CTA performance feedback) and external intelligence (e.g., market analysis) to ensure client playbooks stay fresh and relevant

Drive the on-going development of CTA’s own talent plans and the overall execution of performance metrics to maximize the team’s effectiveness for service delivery and adaptability to changing business needs

Drive operational improvements and team engagement through transparency, ownership, and collaboration

Network with industry and professional organizations to stay abreast of trending and best practices.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in related field and 7+ years of professional work experience with at least 1+ years of experience in a management or lead role; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Minimum of 3 years of working in a professional, corporate, or staffing talent acquisition environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of industry selection and recruiting practices.

Experience managing or assigning incoming work orders/requests in a consistently timely manner.

Ability to assess workload capacity of team members.

Keen ability to identify progress gaps in service delivery and work with various team members resolve identified bottlenecks.

Experience working directly with clients, ensuring their business needs are met in a professional and timely manner.

Experience handling difficult situations with tact and sensitivity.

A strong customer service focus as well as impeccable engagement, follow-through, and adaptability with internal customers.

Ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential information.

Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload in a constantly changing environment to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with HR Business Partners at the business unit level .

Possess working knowledge of the complete recruiting function, including but not limited to: research, sourcing, networking, behavior based interviewing, closing candidates, etc.  Prefer sales recruitment background.

Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to recruitment (FCC, OFCCP, etc.).
