Job Summary:

The Sports Brand Solutions group is a team of experts who provide creative marketing sponsorship and integration opportunities across ESPN’s vast content portfolio. The team is responsible for the sponsorship process including, but not limited to, strategy, ideation, and execution.

The primary function of the team is to generate and maximize revenue across ESPN’s robust programming slate. The team works closely with Disney Advertising Sales, Adverting Agencies, Brand Managers, and a wide breadth of ESPN departments including Production, Programming, Consumer Marketing, and Communications.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Sports Brand Solutions, will be responsible for supporting our sponsorship business specifically for the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Corporate Sponsorship Program and SEC Network. In this effort, the individual will have core job functions that include but are not limited to the below:

  • Be an expert on key property/sport assignments (e.g. SEC Network, SECN+, SEC Network Social channels)
  • Collaborate with multiple ESPN and Disney Advertising Sales departments to build general and custom sponsorship opportunities across multimedia platforms (i.e. Production, Digital Editorial, Programming, Communications, Revenue Management, Consumer Marketing, Commercial Operations, Planning, Sales, etc.)
  • Run point on ideation and development of sales materials in response to RFPs
  • Pitch sponsorships internally to Sales and externally to clients
  • Integrate SEC Network sponsorship positions within larger Brand Solutions opportunities, inclusive of Sports, Entertainment and Addressable verticals
  • Development, pricing, and distribution of general and custom sales materials leveraging research and case studies to enhance sales efforts
  • Manage post-sale execution across ESPN, Disney Advertising Sales, and Twitter teams (i.e. creation of deal points in Advisor, booking integrations in NCS, creative development, sales obligations, project management with Disney CreativeWorks, and editorial execution across platforms, etc.)
  • Manage sales deliverables and timelines across purview
  • Support the SEC Sports Brand Solutions team with other responsibilities as assigned (i.e. management of status reports, meeting recaps, sponsorship tracking grids, viewing integrations for accuracy, creation of sizzle reels, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of marketing or sponsorship experience
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GoogleDocs
  • Highly organized, time management skills, ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of marketing or sponsorship preferred
  • Team player with the desire to do whatever it takes
  • Knowledge and/or passion for sports
  • Experience balancing multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and/or occasional travel

Preferred Education

  • BA or BS preferred
