Job Description

Are you obsessed with solving challenging problems? Do you think outside of the box and challenge the status quo?

Sounds great! What will I be working on?

You will own the supply chain strategy and execution to ensure that products are available in fulfillment centers near customers to meet delivery promises. You will use analytical, program management, and operations management skills to lead a team of Supply Chain Managers. You're a self-driven leader who can dive deep into a process, reassess old assumptions, and propose innovative new solutions backed with data. You will help craft new fulfillment concepts to integrate into our network to improve the overall customer experience and reduce the total cost of fulfillment. Your impact will be critical to the ensuring we hit delivery promises at Amazon. And you’ll have some fun while you do it, too.

This Manager of Supply Chain will be responsible for critical metrics including instock, transportation costs, on-time vendor performance management and capacity utilization. You will partner closely with other Amazon teams such as Delivery Experience, Operations, multiple technology team partners and Finance in order to delight customers and meet our goals. We will also look to you for evaluation and implementation of new processes and execution technology products that will improve our supply chain and scale our operation for future growth.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Actively support and foster a culture of inclusion.
· Lead and manage a team of supply chain managers to drive high performance.
· Manage a diverse project portfolio supporting supply chain initiatives and strategies.
· Establish robust plans and corrective actions to meet instock goals
· Seek to understand business problems, automation opportunities and limitations, scaling factors, and topology conditions.
· Writing documents to align on optimization initiatives with senior leadership.
· Design, implement and monitor metrics to track the progress and growth of programs, and to highlight issues on a timely basis.
· Solve ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; guide to the heart of the problem and identify root causes.
· Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Design, Delivery, Technology and Retail partners to lead the roadmap for instock, cost, volume, and speed optimization initiatives.

· Be the thought leader in the space by constantly looking around the corner and challenging status quo.
