The Role

As a Shareholder Reporting Manager, you will review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Products in scope may include, but are not limited to, semiannual and annual shareholder reports, quarterly holdings reports (aka N-PORT Part F) and Form N-CSR. You will also coach and mentor staff to achieve high-quality results and adhere to process controls to proactively mitigate risk. Your ability to work within a team and under pressure to meet deadlines will be essential to our success and in helping to support the service line’s overall mission to deliver high-quality and efficient financial reporting for Fidelity’s registered funds.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 6+ years of financial services experience with a mutual fund operation, custodian bank, audit firm or asset manager with a focus on financial regulatory reporting
  • Prior experience producing, reviewing, and filing shareholder financial and regulatory reporting for ETF funds preferred
  • Adapt to working across various document types to support Fidelity’s different product lines (e.g. 1940 Act, Canadian, CITs, non-registered, ETF funds) with different reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of risk frameworks and ability to design and oversee processes that will ensure a strong control environment
  • You have strong analytical skills, understand sophisticated requirements, and translate them into pragmatic application.
  • Assist in preparation and review of documents and filings effectively and efficiently using various Fidelity systems and process validations. This includes the ability to identify, analyze, provide guidance, and raise potential risks using knowledge of accounting, department policies, procedures, and disclosure requirements.
  • Collaborate well within the team and with external business partners through strong verbal and written communication to ensure appropriate solutions are implemented
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to growing your skills and building your product knowledge.

The Team

Shareholder Reporting team is an internal service provider responsible for producing fund regulatory reporting and filings. We play a critical role assuring Fidelity’s registered investment funds comply with regulatory requirements and Fidelity’s internal standards. We work closely with Asset Management support, the Treasurer’s office, Compliance and Legal Departments as well as internal and external technology partners to deliver reliable and effective reporting.
