The Market Expansion Team (MET) is Cox Communication’s investment response to a rapidly evolving broadband and market landscape, building on our ongoing work to bridge the Digital Divide. MET focuses on assessing & prioritizing market expansion into underserved areas, resulting in an incredible opportunity to extend our reach into new communities. This role will be responsible for supporting MET analytics initiatives and delivering business impact through analytical solutions from end to end. The Analytics & Reporting Manager will engage with key Market Expansion team members and boundary partners to understand business needs, build and maintain dashboards, and provide analytical and reporting support. Focus areas include establishing a standard set of KPIs that offer a balanced view of the health of the program, leading analytic efforts, and reporting on early life and operational health metrics.
The successful Analytics & Reporting Manager will have a solid understanding of the telecommunications industry and strong business acumen, with the ability to clearly summarize the business impact of insights. This role is expected to provide thought leadership about KPIs and best practices and will lead analytic projects and programs with minimal supervision.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Partner with the MET and Boundary Partners to understand business challenges and priorities and to support their reporting and analytical needs pertaining to performance metrics.
Leverage analytical tools and write code to automate reports and consolidate data into a central repository.
Identify opportunities for automation, knowledge discovery, decision-making, insights, optimization, and new capabilities.
Collaborate with business partners on formulating business hypotheses and ideating on areas of focus to develop insights that address specific problem statements and drive quantifiable results.
Develop effective presentations and executive communications to clearly translate analytical results into meaningful and actionable insights that influence business and operational performance improvement.
Build and execute both simple and complex queries and manipulate data to answer business questions.
Build data visualizations via tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Provide thought leadership about KPIs, potential new metrics, and best practices for analytic approaches
Lead analytic projects and programs with minimal supervision
Perform additional tasks and related responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Qualifications:
WHO YOU ARE
MINIMUM
BS/BA degree in related discipline (e.g., Business, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.)
5 or more years of experience in related field (Data Analysis, Product Management, Operations Management, etc.)
Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
Demonstrated business acumen, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross functional teams throughout organization.
Strong ability to translate and communicate complex analyses clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing/presentations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong SQL skills. Ability to write complex queries and manipulate data
Advanced dashboarding/reporting tools skills, including Tableau
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, logic statements, pivot tables, and lookups
PREFERRED
Experience with Alteryx or similar data prep tool
Proven experience presenting to and consulting with operational leadership
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
Previous experience in an analytical role
MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline
