DealerTrack – Manager, Production Operations

 DealerTrack is looking for a Manager of Production Operations to oversee our Memphis, TN facility.  This is a Digital Document Services facility that manages the timely processing of automotive contracts for our lender clients.

 Digital Document Services (DDS) provides state-of-the-art scanning capabilities, custom software solutions and operation centers in the U.S and Canada, which give us the flexibility to scale and grow to meet the changing needs of our clients.

 The Manager, Operations oversees the daily operations of the production floor ensuring compliance with production and quality goals and striving for continuous operational improvement and client satisfaction. Applies and achieves practical business knowledge and uses a wide range commonly used methods, principles and procedures to operationalize the goals and objectives of the team and has accountability for the performance and results of the team.

Responsibilities:

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the production floor. Manages the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals based on the client commitments. 

Develops schedules and manpower requirements. 

Prioritizes production schedules based on manpower capacity, equipment efficiency and materials supply. 

Ensures achievement of production goals/KPIs, quality, and cost objectives.

Plans and administers labor budgets; Makes budgetary recommendations and controls direct/indirect labor

Ensures operations team members meet company policies and guidelines and state laws/regulations.

Ensures all help requests/client issues are completed/solution the same day. 

Works to understand the root cause of repeat issues, implements the required changes, and inspects the issue repeatedly to ensure the issue has been resolved.

Monitors and reports on operational efficiency to management

Researches and develops plans for operational improvements

Implements approved proposals.

Selects, develops, and evaluates team members to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Provides opportunities for professional development.

Ensures performance planning, coaching and evaluations occur timely.

Ensures office/production supplies for entire site are adequate to accommodate daily production and makes timely recommendations to Director, Operations/ Facility Coordinator of needs in time to meet supplier's lead times.

Ensures facility looks organized, clean, and in proper working condition always.

Manages 6 supervisors

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

BS/ BA degree in a related discipline or Advanced Degree is a plus

AND

7+ years of related/relevant experience required

AND

1+ years of management experience required

 

Proven ability to lead and manage teams in an operations environment

Demonstrate high degree of efficiency, organization, motivation in work habits, and professional image

Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally

Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks of team to promote the efficient use of time and monitor progress against schedule

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays and early mornings (as early as 1 am) periodically

Ability to develop, mentor and provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies

Ability to multi-task without a drop in productivity

Proven ability managing temps

Other duties as needed or required
